Blue Rock Systems were pleased to sponsor their very first Award at the Builders’ Merchants Awards for Excellence 2014. Glen, Simon and Lance attended the ceremony at the Lancaster Hotel in London on the 21st November put on by Builders’ Merchants News. The event was a celebration of achievements in the merchant industry with 17 categories which included Showroom of the Year, National Builders’ Merchant of the Year and Trainee of the Year. We sponsored the Website and Digital Initiative of the year category.
This year the Awards were presented by comedian and actor Hugh Dennis, who was an excellent host. His quick wit and great sense of humour appealed to all guests.
The three nominations for our category were E H Smith, Parker Building Supplies and MKM Building Supplies.
It was a close call between three excellent entries but Parker Building Supplies won the category and Josh, who sat next to Simon on our table, went to collect the Award from Hugh and Glen Jewell. After shaking hands with Glen, our Sales Director with a passion for bodybuilding, Hugh commented “he’s certainly got a handshake on him!”
The ceremony was very enjoyable and a great opportunity to meet some new faces and greet some old friends. Congratulations to all winners and nominations!
