Blue Rock Systems’ Datacentre Partner incorporates multiple dedicated high speed internet feeds which enter the utility by separate routes. They have dedicated failover to ensure the loss of one feed will automatically switch over to the remaining feeds.
Benefits of Cloud Computing
Each Blue Rock Systems customer is given a dedicated virtual environment completely isolated from other customers and the datacentre management network. The environment is connected to the internet using its own software firewall and dedicated external IP address to guarantee all traffic is kept isolated.
Multiple Hypervisor Host Servers running modern Intel based CPUs host customer environments. The infrastructure features over 15TB of RAM and 400 Physical Cores. This is connected in an active-active cluster configuration so in the event of a host failure, the running resources failover to another node.
Our datacentre partner is ISO27001 accredited. No access to the datacentre is allowed without prior arrangement with pre-agreed contacts, who are called back on a known number. Access to the data halls are accompanied by datacentre staff at all times. Blue Rock Systems equipment is contained in locked dedicated server racks and is only accessed by agreement with the datacentre. Blue Rock Systems’ remote access to the datacentre is via VPN with enforced 2FA.
Dedicated redundant switching paths link the Nodes together and multiple network paths running to each node ensure the loss of a single switch or network connection to a node does not affect operation. Blue Rock Systems occupied two rack locations on separate data floors to allow backups to be replicated between cages.
Blue Rock Systems utilizes state of the art adaptive flash based storage, which allows hot data to be automatically tiered to non-volatile RAM for low latency disk operations. The dedicated storage arrays feature duel channel storage processors allowing for a complete failure of a controller not to interrupt protection. This is also backed with dedicated 24/7 premium support with the storage vendor. We are able to supply over 30,000 IOPs to our virtual infrastructure.
Our datacentre partner takes extreme efforts to ensure our equipment never loses power. The site has two separate feeds from the National Grid which are fed from alternative power stations. They are also a priority client, in line with hospitals and emergency services for diesel fuel if they need to run exclusively from backup generators. They always have enough diesel stored to run from generators for 7 days.
The UK’s most secure data centre
Our cloud hosting centre is based on a secure server farm in Kent. Originally built by the MOD as a command and control centre the bunker has been labelled “the UK’s most secure data centre”; meaning you get maximum peace of mind when it comes to the security of your data.
We deliver all of your technology needs as a service, using a range of different methods to guarantee the safety and security of your data.
