Blue Rock have teamed up with Premier Contract Supplies to provide a lucky auction winner with a incredible track day experience, all in the name of charity.
The Cause
Friend of Blue Rock, Royal Engineers Corporal Jack Jarvis, is hosting a fundraising event on Thursday 20th May 2021 to help towards costs of his United We Conquer challenge – to become the first person in history to row solo, non stop, unsupported, 4500 nautical miles from Portugal to America.
Jack is a resourceful, adaptive and tenacious individual who after joining the British army at 16 years old immediately volunteered for the All Arms Commando course. On successful completion, he spent the next 7 years of his career within 59 Commando Squadron, giving him a wealth of experience in risk management and operating in high stress situations.
After winning the British Army indoor rowing league in 2019, it has been his ambition to push his competitive rowing to the next level.
His aim is to raise £50,000 for Brain Tumour Research, in honour of his grandad who sadly passed away in 2007.
The Prize
To assist in his fundraising efforts, Blue Rock have teamed up with Premier Contract Supplies to provide a once in a lifetime experience track day to the highest bidder.
This will include:
- Track day at Brands Hatch or Silverstone
- Driver coaching for the day by a British Touring Car Driver (Josh Cook, Jade Edwards, Jake Hill, Michael Crees or Bobby Thompson – subject to availability)
- 3 x 20minute behind the wheel sessions in a Ginetta G40 cup race car
- 2 x hot laps as passenger with British Touring Car driver in Ginetta G40, Ginetta G55 Supercup car, VW Cup Car or Porsche Carrera cup car (subject to availability)
- Refreshments and lunch
Unfortunately tickets for the event, held at Banana Wharf in Hamble on Thursday 20th May 2021, are now sold out, however you can still place your bid by sending a direct message to Glen Jewell on LinkedIn.
The winner of the auction will be announced on Friday 21st May 2021, and contacted directly.
