The Brexit transition deadline, 1st January 2021, is fast approaching and it’s important you take action to make sure your business is properly prepared. With the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic it’s possible any Brexit transition duties have slipped below the radar, so at Blue Rock working with software author Intact, we have put together a short blog post on how to remedy this in time to meet the deadline.
How to prepare for Brexit
If you haven’t already, appoint someone in your business to take charge of managing the transition and post-Brexit activities. Having a designated person that can attend training seminars, gather information, and find out the steps you should take to fulfil regulatory and administrative requirements.
This person will also be able to understand any support that might be available for your business, including any grants you can apply for. They should also be able to help you identify any larger strategic problems for your business before they arise, e.g. new business channels or alternative supply sources.
Official advice
Every business is unique, so there is no one-size-fits-all set of guidance. However, there are Brexit information sources available, some of which are listed below

If your business is particularly complex you may want to investigate getting a 3rd party consultant to help advise you on the best next steps for your business.
